Realignment (alignment & compression)

We restore correct alignment so the door closes and locks smoothly again, with proper compression on the seals.

Most issues come from hinges, keeps/hooks or rollers being out of adjustment — we can usually restore the right balance. In some cases the door leaf has bowed over time (heat/sunlight or long-term misalignment). We’ll know for sure only after a full on-site setup, balancing seal compression with smooth lock operation.

Multipoint system (behind the handle)

The multipoint mechanism sits inside the door edge, behind the handle. If it is worn or failing, we can replace the gearbox (centre case) or the full strip (the whole mechanism) depending on condition.

Hinges

We check the hinges first, then replace worn hinges and set the gaps and closing action correctly.

Handle

If the handle is loose or worn, we replace it and make sure it operates the mechanism correctly.

Lock / cylinder

If the lock is stiff, noisy or worn, we service or replace the required parts (including cylinders) as needed.

Seals (rubbers)

Some doors have built-in seals that cannot be replaced. Others use replaceable seals — if yours are replaceable, we can supply and fit the correct profile.

Realignment & compression

We adjust the door so it closes and locks properly again, with correct seal compression.

Door restrictors often wear or snap. We can fit or replace restrictors where needed.

Keepers

Keepers wear, crack and can misalign. We replace or adjust keepers so the door locks securely.

Top/bottom shootbolts

The top and bottom bolts can fail when small gears wear out (often the top). We replace the failed parts and set the locking points correctly.

Handles / locks / seals

We can replace worn handles, cylinders/locks and service or replace seals where the design allows.

Realignment

We adjust and set the system so panels run straight, close correctly and compress properly.

Rollers

Worn rollers cause dragging and misalignment. We replace rollers and re-set the doors.

Mechanisms / handles / locks

We repair or replace worn mechanisms, handles and locks where needed.

Seals

Where seals are replaceable, we can supply and fit the correct profile.

Realignment

Sliding doors often drop and start catching. We set the sash correctly and restore smooth closing.

Rollers

Most sliding issues are worn rollers. We replace rollers and adjust running height.

Mechanism / handle / lock

If the mechanism is broken or the handle/lock is failing, we replace the correct parts.

Frame closers

Common on commercial aluminium doors. We replace and set the closer correctly.

Pivot / bottom bearing

If the door has dropped, the bottom pivot/bearing is often worn. We replace the pivot and re-align the door.

Trim / planing

If the door is scraping the floor or catching the frame, we can trim/plane the edge where needed and restore smooth closing.

Hinges / handles / locks

We repair or replace worn hinges, handles and locks, and can add additional locks where required.

Clean work

We work with dust extraction — professional vacuums, planers and sanders are connected, so you don’t get dust or wood shavings left behind.

Closers

We fit or replace door closers and adjust closing speeds correctly.

Alarm-linked retainers / stops

We can fit retainers/stops that release on the fire alarm so the door closes when required.

Hinges

We replace worn hinges and ensure the door closes and latches correctly.

Push bars

We install or replace push bars and related hardware where needed.
